Brandt Clarke, Alex Laferriere, and Alex Turcotte were loaned to the Kings’ AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign. It’s not surprising that all three were sent down. For starters, all three are waiver-exempt, meaning they don’t have to go through waivers. Lastly, with very few roster spots and too many bodies, it made sense to send all three down and allow them to develop in the AHL.
The Ontario Reign begin their preseason tonight, as they take on the Coachella Valley Firebirds at six o’clock at Acrisure Arena.
