2022-2023 season
The 2022-2023 season was the first full professional year of Andre Lee’s career after spending the previous three seasons at UMass-Lowell. In three seasons in the NCAA, Lee recorded 64 points in 87 games. Last season, Lee played primarily on the fourth line and the penalty kill. As the season progressed, Lee started using his size well along the boards for puck battles, on the forecheck, and even would throw his weight around. He formed great chemistry on the fourth line with Samuel Helenius and a rotating cast of Jacob Doty, Tyrell Goulbourne, and Nikita Pavlychev, as they provided good energy on nights the Ontario Reign needed it. For the season, Lee recorded nine points (6 G – 3 A) in 58 games.

2023-2024 outlook
Lee will be back with the Ontario Reign this season to resume his fourth-line duties, or perhaps move up to the third line. After getting a taste of his first season in the professional ranks, he already knows what is expected. Playing in the bottom six, I expect Lee to replicate what he did last year, and that is to provide great energy and minutes on the fourth line and contribute to the penalty kill. Lee showed he can provide some offense at the collegiate level, so let’s see if he can add a bit more for the Reign this year, which will be gravy.
