On Thursday afternoon, the Ontario Reign announced that they re-signed Tyler Inamoto and Nikita Pavlychev to AHL contracts.
We've re-signed @InamotoTyler and @nikitapavlychev for the 2023-24 #ReignTrain season! Welcome back, boys!

Both contracts are one-year deals, and both players are expected to start in the ECHL with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Inamoto is a left-handed shot defenseman who will enter his second full professional season with the organization. Inamoto split the 2022-2023 season with the Swamp Rabbits and Reign. In 36 games with Greenville, Inamoto recorded eight points but went scoreless in five playoff games. Due to injuries and call-ups, Inamoto played seven games with the Reign and recorded one assist.
Pavlychev, a 6’7 forward, is entering his third season in the organization, and like Inamoto, he split time with the Swamp Rabbits and Reign for the 2022-2023 season. In 36 games with Greenville, Pavlychev recorded 45 points (25-20) and four points in six postseason games. In 14 games with the Reign, Pavlychev recorded three points while playing on the fourth line with Samuel Helenius and Andre Lee. Those three formed a big and heavy line, spending a good amount of time in the offensive zone in their small sample size together.
Both players add depth to the Reign and will most likely be the first ones called up to the AHL if any injuries or call-ups happen.
