Tobias Bjornfot, Samuel Fagemo, Tyler Madden, and Akil Thomas have all been extended a qualifying offer. Nine players didn’t receive one, which included Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Zack MacEwen, and Matthew Villalta. The players who didn’t receive a qualifying offer are now unrestricted free agents and could still be re-signed by the LA Kings.
Considering the Kings’ goalie depth in the pipeline, Villalta seemed like a sure bet to receive a qualifying offer, unfortunately, he didn’t. Villalta and Anderson-Dolan will be two names to keep an eye on in free agency if the organization wants to re-sign at least one of them.
