LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 10/19

Another week has passed, so it’s time for our weekly LA Kings prospect update here at Hockey Royalty. Week four of this year’s prospect update was highlighted by forward Martin Chromiak. Chromiak, 24, scored four goals and added two helpers for six points in three games for the Ontario Reign (AHL) last week. The Reign won two of its three games, and Chromiak scored the game-winning goal late in the third period in each one.

In the Reign’s first win over the Calgary Wranglers, Chromiak scored both goals in the final period to lead the Reign to a 3-2 win; he also added a secondary assist in the middle period. In the next game against the Texas Stars, Chromiak added another pair of goals and an assist to earn the game’s first star honors for the second straight game.

Chromiak is looking to build on his breakout campaign last year, when he led the Reign in goals (28), power-play goals (12), and points (56). In eight games with the Reign this season, he leads the team in goals (6) and ranks third in points (8) as he looks to throw his name in the hat as a potential call-up option.
