Season review

Jack Millar completed his second season with the Reign on an AHL contract. Millar missed 31 games with an injury (November – January), but didn’t miss a beat when he returned. Known for his astute defensive play, Millar provided solid defense on the backend. He was mostly paired with Joe Hicketts throughout the season, then eventually became Nikita Novikov’s partner down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs.

Millar scored a goal in back-to-back games in February for his only two tallies of the regular season. Millar’s contract expires on June 30th, making him a free agent on July 1st. With the Reign potentially not having much depth on the right side (at this moment) heading into the 2026-27 season, it’s possible we could see Millar ink another AHL contract with the club.
