LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 2/10

A week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings prospect update. Liam Greentree highlighted this week’s prospect update for the second straight week. Greentree recorded five points (2 G, 3 A) in two games for the Windsor Spitfires, including a four-point game – his fifth four-point game of the season –  in their 8-2 win over the Saginaw Spirit. Even though they were idle, Windsor clinched a playoff spot the night before that game.

Greentree has 91 points in 52 games and has already surpassed his point total from last season (90). His 91 points are tied for second in scoring in the OHL and fourth in the CHL (QMJHL, WHL, and OHL). He also ranks third in goals (37) and fourth in assists (57) in the OHL. I’m running out of adjectives to describe the electric 19-year-old winger, but one I haven’t used – as the younger generation would say – is that he has aura.

If the Kings want to add at the trade deadline, he must be excluded from any trade package.
