Christmas is approaching, and perhaps the LA Kings organization received a Christmas miracle on Monday morning.

After taking a hit to the head in the Ontario Reign’s 6-4 loss to the Bakersfield Condors just over a week ago, Alex Turcotte has been sidelined for the last three games due to the hit. We have some good news to report! While attending the LA Kings practice, Hockey Royalty’s own Russell Morgan captured a photo of Turcotte skating in a red no-contact jersey.
This aligns with what I was told on Saturday by someone inside the Reign organization when I asked him about an update on Turcotte. The answer I received was “he might have skated within the past 24 hours,” but it wasn’t a sure answer and they would have to check back in with me. Turcotte skating in a red-no-contact jersey today backs up what I was told after the Reign’s 5-4 win on Saturday. While it’s a red no-contact jersey, it’s a great sign that Turcotte is skating, and hopefully, he can get back into game action sooner rather than later for the Ontario Reign.

I really wanted to see this kid play in the NHL. I had dreams of Adam Deadmarsh but with even more skill.
I don’t think any amount of $$$ is worth CTE or brain function in general.
If he retires for his health I support him.
