According to the LA Kings, Ranford will oversee the goaltending department which includes coaching, scouting and programming, and development. In addition to Ranford being promoted to Director of Goaltending, Matt Millar, the Ontario Reign’s AHL goaltending coach, has been promoted to North American Goalie Scout, per the LA Kings.
The LA Kings will also need a new goalie coach in the AHL as Matt Millar has been named North American Goalie Scout, per the LA Kings. #GoKingsGo pic.twitter.com/nRzkgGL6Hr

The moves leave both the Kings and the Reign without a goaltending coach at the current moment. It’ll be interesting to see who fills the void at both coaching positions.
