1. Reign Streaking

Don’t look now, but Byfield and Fagemo have goals in three straight games. The streak has Fagemo sitting at 10 goals and is now just four goals behind the team leader Martin Frk. The Swedish winger’s play has been on another level the last few games after being moved to a line with T.J. Tynan. When Frk gets back, we’ll see who the hot Fagemo plays with.

After starting the season pointless in his first five games, Byfield now has four points in his last three. He also picked up an assist on Sunday. The line he has been with lately with Madden and Vilardi has been the team’s best line. For Ontario to have a 1-2 punch down the middle of Tynan and Byfield is as good as it gets in the AHL.

Spence has also picked up points in three straight and has six points in his last five games.

This was also the third straight overtime game – and fourth in the last five – for Ontario. They had won the prior two against Bakersfield and San Diego.
