7. San Jose Sharks (19-16-1)
Last week: 7
The Sharks started the week with an ugly 6-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, a game that saw them allow two short-handed goals on the same five-minute power play. They bounced back with a 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, then on Saturday got all of their goals from Tomáš Hertl in a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers to salvage a split of their four-game road trip.

San Jose also terminated Evander Kane’s contract over what they claim was a breach of COVID-19 protocols in the AHL, though the NHLPA is filing a grievance on his behalf.
