Scott is 47 years old and lives in upstate New York with his wife and children. Scott got into hockey at a very early age, idolizing Wayne Gretzky since his time with the Edmonton Oilers. When the Great One was traded to the LA Kings in 1988, Scott's hockey allegiance went to LA as well and it has been there ever since. Scott's full-time job is that of a firefighter/paramedic, which has been doing for about 13 years. He still plays beer league ice hockey, is President of the Mohawk Valley Hockey Club (dek hockey), is the cohost of the Hockey Royalty Podcast, runs www.martysillegalstick.com, and is the host of the Marty's Illegal Stick Hockey Podcast.
