LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 2/23

Another week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings‘ weekly prospect update. Forward James Reeder highlighted this week’s update with four points (1 G, 3 A) in two games for the University of Denver (NCAA). Reeder, a sophomore, recorded his second four-point weekend of the season for Denver, extending his point streak to six games (3 G, 6 A).

Reeder has seen his role elevated this year, playing in the top six, which has seen his point production increase from 21 to 28 points, good enough for a tie in third on the team in scoring. Reeder, drafted 198th overall (7th-round) in the 2024 draft by the Kings, is a playmaking forward who likes to play in the middle of the ice.

He will look to help Denver capture the NCHC Frozen Faceoff championship to qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
