World Juniors: Notes From Day Four For Kings Prospects

Day four of the World Juniors is in the books, and five LA Kings prospects were in action. As we turn the page to day five, see how the five Kings prospect representing his country did on day four.

Jan Chovan (Slovakia)

Jan Chovan played on Slovakia’s second line in the team’s 6-5 loss to the USA. Chovan, the Kings’ sixth-round draft pick this year, logged 17:18 of ice time and tallied three shots on net and one post shot.

Liam Greentree (Canada)

Did not play because he was a healthy scratch.

Carter George (Canada)

Carter George picked up the win in Canada’s commanding 9-1 victory over Denmark. George only saw 13 shots (12 saves) in the game. He is 2-0-0 in the tournament.

Brendan McMorrow (USA)

Brendan McMorrow had a strong game for the USA. The Kings’ seventh-round pick from this past summer registered a goal and an assist (short-handed) in 13:22 of ice time, helping lead the USA to a wild 6-5 comeback win over Slovakia.

Vojtěch Čihař (Czechia)

Vojtěch Čihař recorded his third multi-point game of the tournament with a two-assist game in Czechia’s 2-1 overtime win over Finland. His six points (2 G, 4 A) in three games are tied for first in scoring for Czechia with Tomas Galvas.

Petteri Rimpinen (Finland)

Petteri Rimpinen finally saw action, but picked up the loss in Finland’s 2-1 overtime loss to Czechia. Rimpinen saw 26 shots and turned away 24 of them for a .923 save percentage in the game. Rimpinen’s 24 saves were more than the shots he faced (17) in the Denmark and Latvia games. He earned player of the game honors for Finland.

DAY FIVE SCHEDULE (12/30/25):

  • Switzerland vs Germany (11 AM PST)
  • Latvia vs Denmark (1:30 PM PST)

NOTE: No Kings prospects will be action on day five.
