The Ontario Reign played three games during the week against the Bakersfield Condors and San Jose Barracuda (twice), and went 1-1-0-1.
The Reign started the week with a 4-0 victory on the road over the Condors as Isaiah Saville turned aside all 19 shots the Condors threw at him for his first shutout with Ontario. Ironically, it was Saville’s first AHL shutout since December 31st, 2023, against the Reign when he was a member of the Henderson Silver Knights.
Ontario returned home for a two-game series on Saturday and Sunday against the Barracuda. The Barracuda took both games to earn the weekend sweep in an intense and chippy affair. Cole Guttman missed the second game due to a suspension as a result of a hit to the head on Sharks prospect, Quentin Musty.
Now that the recap of the week is over, let’s see who earned the three stars of the week!
Third star
Koehn Ziemmer
Stat line: Three games played, one goal, one assist, two points, +3 rating, six shots on goal
Koehn Ziemmer recorded two points during the week, and both came against the Barracuda. Ziemmer had his best game as a pro in that game, recording four shots on goal as well. Ziemmer wasn’t hesitant to shoot the puck and was very noticeable. He has played primarily on the fourth line, but in this game, he was elevated to the third line.

Martin Chromiak recorded three goals during the week, including a two-goal performance against the Condors. The 23-year-old also sent Toyota Arena into a frenzy with his teddy bear toss goal. Chromiak’s production has increased slightly this year, as his 20 points (11 G, 9 A) in 27 games mark his best start during his tenure in the AHL.

First star
Andre Lee

Andre Lee continued to pop off as the big forward registered three goals and four points during the week. Lee’s best game of the week came in the Reign’s 4-3 shootout defeat to the Barracuda, where he registered three points, including the game-tying goal with under a minute left in regulation. Lee also leads the team in points (23) and is tied for the team lead in goals (11). He plays in all situations and has been a main staple on the third line with Kenny Connors and Jared Wright as of late.
