The Ontario Reign played two games against the Bakersfield Condors during the week and won both, with a pair of 3-2 victories.
The Reign took the first meeting in regulation, escaping with a narrow 3-2 victory after almost losing a 3-0 lead in the final three minutes of the contest.
The second game saw Ontario fall behind 2-0 through 20 minutes, but three unanswered goals propelled the Reign to an overtime victory. The Reign, with the victory, handed the Condors their first loss on home ice of the season.
With the recap of the week over, let’s see who made this week’s three stars for the Reign!
Third star
Isaiah Saville
Stat line: One game played, 1-0-0-0 record, 13 saves on 15 shots faced, .867 save percentage
Isaiah Saville made his first start with the Reign in the team’s 3-2 overtime win over the Condors. Saviile didn’t see much action but picked up the win. It was Saville’s first AHL victory since April 13, 2024, against the Reign. He was pulled in the first period of that game, allowing four goals on six shots.

Second star
Kenny Connors
Stat line: Two games played, one goal, one assist, two points, +2 rating, five shots on goal
Kenny Connors had another strong week for the Reign, posting two points in the Reign’s first 3-2 victory over the Condors. Connors tallied his fourth goal of the season in the opening frame of that game, an assist in the middle frame, and a fight in the third period to complete the Gordie Howe hat trick.

Connors leads all rookie skaters in the AHL with a +13 rating.
First star
Jared Wright
Stat line: Two games played, two goals, zero assists, two points, +2 rating, three shots on goal
Jared Wright is the first star for this week, with both of his goals being game-winning goals. Wright’s greatest asset is his blazing speed, and it was on display for both of his goals to create separation from a Condor on his breakaway markers.
