LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 1/20

A week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings prospect update. Goaltender Hampton Slukynsky highlighted this week’s update. Slukynsky made one start for Western Michigan University (WMU) and posted his first NCAA shutout, stopping all 14 shots in the Broncos’ 2-0 win over Miami University (Ohio). He earned the game’s first star with his shutout as well.

In nine games Slukynsky has a record of 5-3-1 with a 1.55 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage while primarily playing in a 1A/1B role with fellow netminder Cameron Rowe. Slukynsky currently ranks second in goals-against average and third in save percentage amongst all Division 1 (D1) goalies in the NCAA. Western Michigan University is currently ranked third as a team.
