Another week of hockey has passed and it’s time for our second LA Kings prospect update. If you missed last week’s update there are some changes to the prospect update series this year that I will review again. This year won’t feature prospects who started year on the NHL roster or veteran players on one-way or two-way NHL contracts playing in the AHL.
Now, let’s see who highlighted this week’s prospect update.
If you followed updates all week then this choice shouldn’t come as a surprise. Liam Greentree highlighted this week’s prospect update by recording 11 points (4G-7A) in three games for the Windsor Spitfires (OHL).
Gorgeous goal by Greentree!

Greentree started the week with back-to-back four-point games, which included three assists in both of them, before capping off the week with a three-point effort in which he scored twice (one being an empty-net goal). Greentree is not only known for his ability to score but can also make plays, as you can see with the seven assists he registered during the week. You can see why the Kings were so high on him and selected him with the 26th pick this past summer, even with his skating concerns from scouts. He currently leads the OHL in assists (17) and points (23) with nine games played.
He was named the OHL Player of the Week for his play.
#OHL scoring leader and @LAKings prospect Liam Greentree is the @cogeco #OHL Player of the Week with 11 points over three @SpitsHockey victories.

No Ryan Conmy for UNH tonight. Doesn't sound serious. But UNH without Conmy, Cy Leclerc and Nikolai Jenson.
