The LA Kings held an optional morning skate this morning, heading into their home matchup against the Dallas Stars tonight.
Who Was There:
Goaltender David Rittich was the only goalie on the ice for the Kings this morning, meaning Cam Talbot will start in net. Only one skater on the ice this morning, that being Mikey Anderson.

The LA Kings have used an 11/7 format for the lineup as of late however there is a chance that changes tonight.
Adrian Kempe is "definitely a possibility" for tonight, per Jim Hiller. Few final hurdles to clear this afternoon.
Mikey Anderson skated this morning in a full-contact jersey but will not play tonight.

Adrian Kempe has not played in a live game since February 26th against Edmonton. After missing almost two weeks of action, the Kings’ dynamic scorer has a good chance to suit up tonight.
LA Kings Probable Lines:
With the probable return of Kempe, I will lay out the probable lines with him in, here they are;
Forwards
Laferriere-Kopitar-Kempe
Moore-Danault-Fiala
Turcotte-Dubois-Byfield

Goaltenders
Talbot
Rittich
Last Meeting:
The LA Kings and Stars have met once so far this season. The game on January 16th had Dallas winning by a score of 5-1. Looking back, this was in the midst of a very poor January for the Kings altogether. That game also featured a Dallas team who had won three of their last four, along with a Kings team on the second half of a back-to-back. The lone Kings goal in the game was delivered by defenseman Drew Doughty on the powerplay, with Adrian Kempe and Phillip Danault assisting. Dallas, on the other hand, had three skaters with multi-point nights, those being Jason Robertson (0-2-2), Roope Hintz (1-1-2), and Wyatt Johnston (1-1-2).
Deadline Acquisitions
The LA Kings stood pat at the trade deadline, one of just two teams in the NHL to make no deals. Dallas made a move for a defenseman, Chris Tanev. Tanev has played on Dallas’ second defensive pairing, you can expect to see Tanev there again tonight.
WELCOME TO THE DALLAS STARS, CHRIS TANEV!#TexasHockey pic.twitter.com/KZmX497lMV
