LA Kings Game Preview: 2-22-24

The LA Kings take on the Nashville Predators tonight on home ice as they look to keep their win streak alive!

Keeping Pace:

Since the NHL all-star break, the LA Kings have gone on a tear. The Kings have won five out of six games coming out of the break, accompanied by a four-game winning streak leading up to tonight. Looking at the standings, the Kings have greatly turned their season back around over the past weeks. They have a record of 6-3-1 in the past 10 games and are just two points behind Edmonton for third place in the Pacific division.

Who To Expect:

As head coach Jim Hiller stated this morning, Blake Lizotte will make his return to the LA Kings lineup tonight after missing the previous 14 games. Lizotte will slot into a line with Pierre-Luc Dubois and Quinton Byfield, who each have six and seven points in the last six games, respectively. Forward Viktor Arvidsson is once again on the Injured Reserve list once again this season. He played just 17 seconds in the last game against Columbus before leaving the game permanently with a lower-body injury.

LA Kings Projected Lines:

The Kings made one final roster move over the past two days. Defenseman Jordan Spence has been reassigned to the Kings’ AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign. With this move the Kings opened up the cap space to activate Blake Lizotte. With all these moves, we can expect the lines to look like this;

You can view the Kopitar line as the LA Kings top line, or the Danault and Dubois lines. Which line will be deployed as the top line will be seen tonight. We know 46 will be with 80 and 55, and we also know 78 will be alongside 11 and 9. Fans should expect the Danault, Moore, and Fiala line will be reunited due to the Arvidsson injury.

The Kings take on the Predators at home tonight at 7:30 PST. Be ready Kings fans, and get loud! Go Kings Go!
