LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 2/5

Another week has passed, and it’s time for our weekly LA Kings prospect update. There weren’t many big performances as there were very few games played by most of the players. With that being said, this week’s prospect update was highlighted by Akil Thomas, who recorded an assist and seven shots on goal in his lone game played for the Ontario Reign.

The assist gave Thomas at least one point in six of his last seven games. His seven shots on goal led all skaters in the game as the Reign fell to the Henderson Silver Knights in a shootout last Friday. Although he only recorded an assist, Thomas created and had plenty of chances, was in on puck battles, and was a threat whenever on the ice. He has been one of the Reign’s most reliable players all season.
