For the third straight month, Brandt Clarke has won the defenseman of the month award. I’m running out of things to say other than he will be a stud. In nine games, Clarke recorded 22 points (11 G, 11 A), including a hat trick on March 18th against the Niagara IceHogs, and a +16 rating for the month. In addition to that, he was also named player of the month.

For the season, Clarke recorded 61 points in 31 games (23 G, 38 A). His 1.97 points per game were the best in the OHL and second highest in OHL history.
Brandt Clarke ends the OHL regular season with the second highest points-per-game mark by a defenseman in league history.
1. Bryan Fogarty 2.58
2. Brandt Clarke 1.97
3. Jamie Rivers 1.86
4. Scott MacLellan 1.83
5. John Slaney 1.76#GoKingsGo | @OHLBarrieColts— Russell Morgan (@NHLRussell) March 25, 2023
Clarke also ended the regular season on a 16-game point streak and was held out of the Barrie Colts’ final two games over the weekend to get him ready and fresh for their postseason run. What a way to end your OHL career!
The Barrie Colts’ first playoff game is scheduled for this Thursday.
