It isn’t surprising to see Jordan Spence and Samuel Fagemo assigned to the AHL. For Tobias Bjornfot, I believe this can be good for his development going forward. At times last year, he looked like he needed more seasoning in Ontario. All three are exempt from the waiver process.
As of right now, the LA Kings have eight defensemen currently on the roster. Brandt Clarke is indeed one of those eight defensemen still on the roster. He very well may crack the opening night lineup.
