Former first-round picks Tobias Bjornfot, Quinton Byfield, Brandt Clarke, and Alex Turcotte will all be in attendance this week. It goes without saying, but this week’s development camp is the first step in an important year in Turcotte’s development. Injuries have plagued the 21-year-old thus far.
Of the 2019 first-round picks that have made their NHL debut and played in at least five games, there are only two players who have yet to record an NHL point. One is Turcotte, the other is Florida Panthers netminder Spencer Knight.
Six of the seven selections from the 2022 NHL Draft class will partake is this week’s events. The only outlier is defenseman Otta Salin.
