For the second consecutive year, the LA Kings will open their season at home against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Kings will kickstart their 2022-23 regular-season schedule with a two-game homestand against Vegas on Tuesday, October 11 and Seattle on Thursday, October 13. If you recall, Los Angeles didn’t face the league’s newest team until mid-January a season ago. Now, they get a Krak (see what I did there) at Seattle in Game 2.
It’s worth noting – Kevin Fiala will make his return to Minnesota on Saturday, October 15 in only the third game of the year.
In mid-October, the Kings will have an early-season test via a five-game road trip with stops in Minnesota, Detroit, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and Washington, before returning home for a three-game homestand against Tampa Bay, Winnipeg, and Toronto.
Looking at the schedule as a whole, the Kings will have two four-game, two five-game, and two six-game roadtrips. The schedule is filled with four homestands of at least four games or longer, with the seven-game homestand in March being the longest of the year.
If the Kings are battling it out for a playoff spot, they could have a difficulty in the home stretch with road games in Calgary, Edmonton, Seattle, Vancouver, and Vegas and home games against Edmonton, Colorado, and Vancouver before ending the regular season in Anaheim.
Which game(s) are you going to?
