From the press release:
Clarke has been invited to participate in the World Junior Selection Camp. Brandt previously played for Hockey Canada in the U17 & U18 tournaments. Most notably helping Canada capture U18 gold and picking up First Team All-Star recognition.
If you recall, Clarke was omitted from Team Canada’s roster when the tournament was initially scheduled around Christmas time and into the New Year prior to being prematurely canceled after a couple of games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Clarke spent the 2021-22 campaign captaining the Barrie Colts of the OHL. He finished the season with 11 goals and 48 assists and a +11 in 55 games. His 59 points were a team-high and fifth-most among OHL defensemen.
The Nepean, Ontario native’s season was cut short with season-ending knee surgery in April.
