Per LA Kings PR, the organization has made multiple roster moves on Tuesday afternoon, loaning Samuel Fagemo, Alex Turcotte, Christian Wolanin, and Matt Villalta from the taxi squad to the Ontario Reign. Jacob Ingham (G) and Jacob Moverare (D) have been reassigned to the Ontario Reign from the taxi squad.

Further, Austin Strand has been loaned from the LA Kings to the taxi squad.

Fagemo currently has no points in four appearances with the LA Kings and a -4 rating. During his eight-game stint with the Kings, Turcotte registered zero points but kept an even rating. After being reclaimed on waivers from the Buffalo Sabres, Wolanin has suited up for eight games with the LA Kings, registering one goal and one point.

The taxi squad has helped teams shuffle their rosters as needed a bit this year, and no team has benefitted from it more than the Kings. With the ability to not send players through waivers as often but still give players their cup of coffee in the league, the COVID-forced rules have made life a little bit easier for the Pacific Divison’s third seed.

With Ontario playing at 10 am PT on Wednesday, it is possible that these players could be reinserted into the lineup for the game. The Reign are coming off a two-win, 13-goal weekend sweep of the Tucson Roadrunners. However, these could be paper transactions for the sake of saving some space on the salary cap.

The LA Kings take on the New York Islanders on Thursday at 4:00 pm PT in Long Island.
