Ontario Reign San Diego Gulls

2. Jordan Spence shines

The 20-year-old defenseman has put together a strong debut season in the AHL in 2021-22, entering the game with 11 assists. This may have been his best game yet.

In addition to the goal and assist, Spence was all over the ice in the offensive zone. He used his skating to jump down into the play and create scoring opportunities both at 5-on-5 and especially on the power play.

Spence had three shots on goal, and he has filled in more than adequately for Sean Durzi on the Reign’s top power-play unit. It’s hard not to get excited when you think about the right side of the LA Kings defense group and the way Spence is progressing, he’ll be heavily involved.
