Grundstrom, 24, has been blossoming in his role with the LA Kings this season, with five goals and eight points through 26 games played on the team’s bottom-six. He’ll be missed for however long he is out.
Wolanin, 26, was finally proving himself worthy of being a regular, as he was taking up the spot that Alexander Edler left when suffering his ankle injury. He has one goal and two points through seven games played.
Although Wolanin is out, for now, Olli Maatta has begun skating again and will likely be the one to take his spot in the lineup for the time being.
Along with this, Martin Frk is expected to make his season debut tomorrow on the first-line right-wing spot, according to Zach Dooley. He has been waiting for his opportunity for some time now as he has been tearing the American Hockey League up with the Ontario Reign, with 14 goals and 29 points through 24 games played. This is something a lot of fans are going to be happy about.
